1. What this page is for

This page explains how to request deletion of your Pocket Arcade account and any data associated with it, in line with Google Play's account-deletion requirements and Apple App Store guidelines.

You can submit a deletion request from inside the app or by emailing our support address — both routes are described below. Requests are honored within 30 days.

2. Do you have an account?

Pocket Arcade is designed to be playable without signing up. Depending on which version of the app you're using, you may or may not have an account record on our servers:

Unsure which version you have? Open the app → Settings → scroll to the bottom — the version number appears under the app icon. If in doubt, proceed with the request below; deletion is safe and idempotent.

3. Option A — Delete from inside the app (preferred)

This is the fastest route and requires no waiting period.

  1. Open Pocket Arcade on your device.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear) from the main hub.
  3. Scroll to the ACCOUNT section.
    • If you are signed in with Google, tap Sign Out.
    • Then tap Delete Account and confirm. This permanently removes your account record and any cloud-synced progress from our servers.
  4. To also remove the app's local data on your device, uninstall the app after the deletion confirmation appears.

On Android, you can additionally clear local storage at any time via Settings → Apps → Pocket Arcade → Storage → Clear data.

4. Option B — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app (for example, you've already uninstalled or switched devices), email us and we'll process your request manually.

Send an email to pocketarcade.support@gmail.com with the subject line Delete My Account — Pocket Arcade and include:

We respond within 3 business days, and deletion is fully processed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

5. What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is removed from our systems:

Data type Where it lives
Firebase authentication record Your anonymous user record or Google-linked sign-in identity.
Display name & profile photo From your Firebase user record (Google account data is owned by Google and is not stored by us beyond the sign-in token).
Cloud-synced game progress High scores, coin balance, achievements, unlocked modes — when cloud sync is enabled.
Local app data on your device Removed by uninstalling the app or, on Android, by clearing app storage.
Daily Challenge submissions Your individual submission rows are deleted; aggregated/anonymous leaderboard counts are not user-identifiable and are retained.

6. What we retain (and why)

A small amount of data may be retained after deletion because it is no longer tied to your identity, or because we are required to keep it by law. None of this can be used to re-identify you.

Retained data Reason
Aggregated, anonymised analytics Event counts and play-time aggregates that contain no user identifier — used to improve gameplay.
Crash reports & performance metrics Anonymous Firebase Crashlytics & performance traces. Cannot be used to identify you and are auto-purged within 90 days.
In-app purchase & transaction records Handled by Apple App Store / Google Play. We never see your payment details; transaction receipts are retained by the platforms for legal & financial-reporting reasons (typically 7 years).
Support correspondence Email threads with our support team are retained for 12 months for quality assurance, then automatically deleted.
Logs required by law enforcement requests Only if a valid legal request was received before your deletion. Otherwise, none.

Note: if you wish to delete data held by Apple or Google (such as your purchase history), you will need to contact those platforms directly. We do not control or have access to that data.
